- well you stumped me. is this a external modem? im assuming so
- because you mentioned a breakout box. are any of the modem
- lights flashing when you stop recieving data (like the ARQ light?)
- did the other modems you try externals also? are you using the
- standard (not so good) windows 3.1 comm driver? try using a differnt
- one. do you have a 16550 uart? are the fifos enabled? for further
- troubleshooting i would suggest you get on some local bulletin boards
- and try downloading a lot from them, maybe the isp is overloaded
- or something??
